You will arrive on Friday evening we will go over all of the basic parts of a kayak and all the safety gear you will be using.
Saturday: AM: You will go to a local slow moving river and learn how to use the kayaks, experience wet exits and start to learn different maneuvers. (LUNCH) After lunch you will practice some more rolling skills and more about white water. Back to camp. Watch safety and instructional videos for white water kayaking (optional).
Sunday: AM: You will travel to a class 2 river where you will learn how to maneuver your kayak through waves and around rocks on a small section of that river.
