Vermont Forest & Valley Hiking Vacation

(May through October) 

All rates are per person, and include: 

- Lodging. There is a mix of private & shared baths at the places we
stay. 
A single-supplement is never charged!

- Pickups and drop-offs to/from the closest airport (domestic trips only), 
or bus/train/ferry stations if needed.

*Please note - All transportation to / from the trip starting /ending points is your
responsibility. We will provide instructions. 

Guided Hiking Vacation Package

Possible lodgings include: Crystal Palace B&B, Mary's Restaurant B&B, Millhouse B&B, Old Millstream B&B, By The Way B&B, Cornwall Orchard B&B, and Shoreham Inn. 

Small towns like Middlebury and Bristol add flavor to this trip,  as does Burlington and its lakeside walking paths.

5 Days and 5 Nights

This 80-mile-long swath of the state dominated by the Lake Champlain Valley and the west edge of the Green Mountains is perfect for wanderers like us - backroads meandering through forests and gently rolling farmlands dotted with cows and silos. Add to this bucolic landscape the occasional, umbrella-shaped elm tree punctuating the Adirondack or Green Mountains backdrop and you have walking at its finest. 

We offer several itineraries, including inn-to-inn type walks, in this region. (Ask to see our separate inn-to-inn info sheet.) 

Diversity is the name of the hiker's game in this region. There are ridgeline walks on Snake and Buck Mountains. There are nice walks near Silver Lake and Bristol Pond. There are pleasant hill walks up Bristol Ledges and Mt. Philo. More challenging is the ascent of Moosalamoo or the Rattlesnake Cliffs looming over Lake Dunmore. Stretches of the TAM - Trail Around Middlebury - await us. We can even walk on interesting Butler Island in Lake Champlain!
